About

I am an economist and data scientist who is passionate about using data to inform policy decisions. With a commitment to promoting equality and inclusion, I believe that data-driven approaches can play a critical role in addressing social and economic challenges facing our society today. My background in economics has provided me with a deep understanding of economic theory and its application to real-world situations. Additionally, my expertise in data science has equipped me with the necessary skills to analyze large and complex datasets, build predictive causal models, and draw insights that can inform policy and drive positive change. Ultimately, my goal is to use my combined skills and knowledge to promote a more equitable and just society for all.

With years of experience in research projects,  consulting, and teaching, I have developed a broad range of skills and knowledge that allow me to approach complex economic and social issues with a data-driven perspective. As a researcher, I have focused my research efforts on topics such as voting behavior, labor economics, and impact evaluation of development programs. As a consultant, I have worked with a variety of clients to develop evidence-based strategies that promote economic growth and social development. I have also contributed to building regional reports aimed at helping organizations and policymakers understand economic trends and opportunities at the local and regional level. Additionally, as a teacher, I have had the privilege of sharing my knowledge and passion for economics and data science with students of all ages.

I currently serve as a Researcher/Data Scientist at Michigan State University. I hold a M.Sc. in Agricultural and Applied Economics and a Ph.D. in Economics from Virginia Tech.
